Last time my husband and I were in the Lake District in England, it rained every single day. Not unusual, but also not great since I had brought my painting gear with the intention of painting outside. Since oil paint and water don’t mix, and it didn’t look like the rain was going to let up anytime soon, we decided to go for a drive and look for scenes I could photograph and use as reference photos later. This was one of those scenes!
